Asst. Prof. Dr. Urh Grošelj, MD, obtained MA degree at the University of Leuven, Belgium (2008), and MD and PhD degrees at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana (2007 and 2012). Since 2014 he works as a specialist pediatrician at the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, UMC – University Children’s Hospital Ljubljana, Slovenia. From 2015 he is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. From 2013 he also serves as a member of National Medical Ethics Committee. His main clinical and research interests include disorders of metabolism, dyslipidemias and screening programs in pediatrics as well as medical ethics. He coordinates Universal hypercholesterolemia screening in Slovenia and is currently involved into expanding newborn screening program in Slovenia (program to start in 2018). Altogether, he (co)authored over 20 SCI publications.
